Pumarinri Amazon Lodge is situated on the banks of the Huallaga river in the last foothills of the eastern Andes. This is a 62ha property in a private reserve. It lies at the confluence of the Cerro escalera Conservation Area and the Cordillera Azul National Park and comprises three ecosystems: dry tropical forest, high montane forest and lowland forest of the Amazonian llanos.

The food is typical local fare (Patarashca de pescado- grilled, stuffed fish with fried plantain), drinks, juices and shakes made from fresh fruit. The simple rooms cost around 189€ for a single and 229€ for a double. A very good birding area, with very interesting species like King Vulture, Dotted Tanager, toucans etc).
