It’s located in Plasencia, the city at the gate of the Jerte Valley and within 20 minutes from Monfrague National Park.
It’s a very well-known establishment among locals of Plasencia. They have two differents restaurants, one in the Plaza Mayor (main square) and the other on the calle Marqués de Ceballos nº 3.
It’s an ideal place to taste traditional Extremaduran dishes like cold meats, cheeses, and grilled Iberian pork, accompanied by nice ‘pitarra’ (traditional homemade) wine.
Good tapas are served with the order of your refreshment, beer or wine. Rumour says that the establishment in Marqués de Ceballos gives two free tapas for each drink!
A daily menu is not offered. Food and meals are mainly based on sharing portions and tapas.
It’s not open early so it’s not possible to have an early breakfast before birding.
