Avila, central Spain: a rural hotel at the entrance to the north slope of the central massif of the Gredos National Park, by San Martin de Pimpollar village. This is close to the Gredos “Plataforma”, where you can observe interesting montane species like Bluethroat, Common Rock Thrush, Ortolan Bunting, Red-backed Shrike, Water Pipit and Skylark. Pinewoods near Navarredonda de Gredos hold Common Crossbill, Citril Finch and Goldcrest.
There is a common sitting room with a fireplace which is lit over the cold Gredos winter months. There is also a dining room where you can try local dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
