Tarragona, Catalonia: situated in the Delta del Ebro Natural Park.
Above all this campsite is useful for its location right in the middle of a prime area for birds (even Corn Crake has been seen in the campsite!). The campsite has direct access to the beach and you are right in the heart of the Delta del Ebro. This is also right next to Riet Vell reserve, which you can walk to from the campsite.
Offers basic information about birds and areas to go birding to start you off. There are good installations and bungalows (although some of them lack running water and WC) which if shared with up to 5 people are more affordable. In spite of this, the prices are not especially cheap compared to other campsites.
There is exceptional food in the restaurant/ terraza. The rice and fish are particularly good. Dogs are allowed, a plus for birders with dogs that is all too rare in establishments these days.
Recommended in low season as the summer months are full of non-birding customers.
Open from April- September.
