Panama: this is an excellent lodge in the Anton Valley. It specialises in nature tourism, particularly birdwatching. There are feeders in the garden where you can watch a great variety of highland forest birds. Agutis and Grey-necked Wood-rails are commonly seen in the grounds.
There is a good guide service. You can arrange excursions in the surrounding area and further afield. Along the river you can see many interesting species and there is a tree platform (Canopy Tower) which is a magnificent observatory bird and mammal species. You can see Black-crowned Antpitta and Snowcap here.
There are 12 spacious rooms with private bathroom and garden views. There is a well-stocked naturalist´s library and WiFi. You can also bathe in crystal-clear springs.
The accommodation is close to the nearby town, but far enough away that you can get away from it all in the montane setting.
