Basque Country, northern Spain: just 300m from the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. The Oka estuary is the most important wetland in the Basque Country and an important stopover for migrating or wintering birds. A successful reintroduction programme for Osprey is underway here. In winter it is not difficult to see species like Great Bittern, sawbills, scoters and a multitude of alcids and waders.
There are two fully-equipped apartments: Agro, and apartment for 12-14 people with 6 bedrooms, decorated by the local artist KZN who was inspired by the local wildlife. Urban, the other apartment, has three bedrooms and a capacity of 6-8 pax. The decoration is based on urban art with local artists like Lan, Siak, Umbuli, AS and KZN.
A vegetable patch is available to guests who want to make use of local produce in season, which is listed as available.
