We are pleased to award 5 feathers to Mirador de Babia. This is a typical, early 20th century rural house by a river in the middle of the Leon mountains. It lies near the Babia ZEPA (Specially Protected Area for Birds) and also the Babia y Luna Natural park. It was the first ecologically constructed house in Leon. The views from the house are unforgettable, also offering visitors a chance to observe inetersting birdsa and mammals. With a lot of luck views of Iberian Wolf are possible here.
The owners have a long history in conservation, working with nature and organising hiking excursions,a wildlife observation, bike rides (for free), tracking animal spraint and tracks and excursions with snowshoes.
There is an ample naturalist library and they sell handmade nest boxes and bird tables as well as the owner’s publication.
We wish Mirador de Babia a long and happy life!
