This lodge is found right in the middle of Bandhavgarh national Park, one of the best areas in India to view the last wild tigers. These premises are run by Satyendra Kumar Tiwari, one of the best birders of the region.
From the lodge you can organise different trips into the park. All food is vegan, served by Satyendra in his lodge every day. The quantity is sufficient but the menu is not very varied. The lodge has twin rooms, hot water and in a few rooms nearest Satyendra’s house there is WiFi access.
The best thing about this lodge is its large, attractive garden where there is a diverse range of trees where a birder can spend their time while waiting to enter the park (two entries per day). Here it’s easy to observe Oriental Magpie Robin, Common Tailorbird, Thick-billed Flowerpecker, Verditer Flycatcher, Taiga Flycatcher, Hume’s Leaf Warbler, Blyth’s Reed Warbler, Purple Sunbird, Oriental White-eye, Brahminy Starling and White-breasted Waterhen.
