Situated at the gates of the Natural Park del Montgri, Illes Medes i Baix Ter. From the restaurant you can see some of the Bonelli’s Eagles, Peregrin Falcons or Eagle Owls that breed on the rocks of Montgri. Less than 10 minutes away you’ll find the Ter Vell, a small wetland next to the town of Estartit, where you can see very interesting species like Bittern in winter. It’s also a good site to see otter. This place is a good base location to explore other protected areas in the Baix Emporda like the rice fields of Pals, in the Illes Medes.
A restaurant with a bird name whose ornaments are Stork statues on the roof is worth visiting by any ornithologist.
Good service and food using local products. Very good quality/price value.
The daily menu is 11.90€ and it includes a selection of starters and main courses to choose from, including elaborate dishes and grilled meats. The atmosphere is very pleasant and food is also served in the garden during the summer.
There is a place called Espai Emporda Natura that serves as an Information Centre for the Natural Park of Montgri, and some other natural areas of l’Emporda. Here you can also buy local ecological/organic products and handmade products like olive oil, marmalade, wine, beer, rice or honey, books about nature, nest bird boxes, bird feeders, stuffed animals, etc.
If you are traveling with children, they will have fun at the play area inside the facility.
