Located just a few minutes from the Special Protection Area of Mas de Melons- Alfés in Plana de Lleida (the best Catalonian steppe-land). Is the halfway point into Pyrenees and the rest of Catalonia. The area is the last stronghold of the Lesser Grey Shrike.
This bar and restaurant is situated in the Ring Road of Lleida City and offers good services for birders: open 24 hours, excellent quality/price value and parking outside. The restaurant specialises in grilled meats and snails and also has a good range of à la carte dishes. There is also a daily menu serving large portions of quality food at a very good price. If you stop on migration, refill with a good “blanco y negro”, this is a mixed dish consisting of black pudding, a traditional Catalonian sausage called butifarra, bacon and fried eggs!
Free parking is available.
This place is also an excellent meeting point. You can park your car outside safely for days.
If you decide to come to this place for an early breakfast be advised that you may meet people still celebrating from the night before!
