Just a few minutes from the Special Protection Area of Mas de Melons-Alfés, it is the halfway point into the Pyrenees and the rest of Catalunya (Northeastern Spain). The area is the last stronghold of the Lesser Grey Shrike in the whole Iberian peninsula and the best area for steppeland birds in Catalonia.
After the success of the restaurant on Ctra. LL-11 followed by the opening of the restaurant on Ctra. Huesca, they opened this new restaurant called Punto Estrella that is situated on the road to Zaragoza following the old road NII (Nacional II). These restaurants share the same menu based on a good variaty of portions (raciones), toasts, grilled meats, snails, calçots (seasonal), etc.
As well as the other two restaurants, this place is ideal for birders because it’s open 24 hours. It’s near interesting natural areas and the quality/price value is excellent. Also, the service is friendly and fast.
The daily menu is 11€ (2015) and it will definitely satisfy your hunger. The quality and quantity of the portions are exceptional. The menu includes homemade desserts, grilled meats, fish, rissoto, pasta, etc. (some dishes have an additional cost).
The new menu a la carte consists of toasts (vegetarian, cheese, meats, etc.). They’re quite large toasts so if you aren’t very hungry, we suggest you share yours! Have a look at the dishes around you before you order to get an idea of the portion sizes; all dishes are quite generous in size.
If you would like to have an early breakfast, only pastries and croissants are available. After 8:00 a.m. you can order your toasts, omelette, etc.
They serve a free olives tapa with your drink, something that is not very common in Catalunya.
Parking and wi-fi is available.
You can also buy your fresh bread here.
