Near Oulu, Finland: a hostel located in the Lintunen Bay Visitor Centre. This is a great area for cranes, swans, waders and northern passerines. Five rooms with bathrooms and a total capacity for 24 people.
Here you can see large flocks of Whooper Swan, Pink-footed Goose, Red-breasted Merganser, divers, a wealth of waders and northern passerines.
There are 5 rooms sleeping a maximum of 24 people. The visitor centre features an observation tower and from there a walkway leads 600m to the main viewing point over Liminka bay. The magnificent interpretation space was inaugurated in 2012. There is all sorts of information on the birds of the bay, internet access, a souvenir shop and a bookshop. Dinner is not served, as the restaurant closes at 3pm. Visitors are given a key for entering and leaving the premises ooutside opening hours.
