Situated in Tierra del Fuego, Chile, and very near the Laguna de los Cisnes (swans). A highl;y recommended establishment and an obligatory stop for the pbservation of autral mammals and birds. The reserve is an excellent place to see the birds endemic to Patagonia, and has considerable areas under protection: Monumento Natural, Laguna de los Cisnes and Alberto de Agostini and Cabo de Hornos National Parks. These latter are home to a plethora of bird families: wild geese, ducks, pengins, cormorants, gulls, waders, raptors and passerines.
You can see mythical birds like Andean Condor and albatrosses along the coasts, and birds of special interest in the area like Magellanic Plover and Ruddy-headed Goose.
There are sic double rooms and a triple, all fully-equipped. Breakfast is served at any time but there is no lunch or dinner.
The manager is a knowledgable birder and has published several books on birds. He offers information on birds and routes in the area and a specialist library is available to guests
