This bar-restaurant belongs to the same owners that the local products shop Daruqa. In this small cafe that is situated in the Plaza de Santiago you can eat anytime during the day. It’s considered the best place to eat in Daroca (Aragón, Northeastern Spain). The town has an impressive architectural heritage that is only 30 minutes from the Laguna de Gallocanta (Gallocanta Lagoon), the mecca for those who love watching Cranes and especially steppeland species like Great Bustrad, Black-bellied Sandgrouse or Dupont’s Lark).

The special dish is the Iberian ham D.O. de Teruel (Guarantee of origin label), however they also serve some other local products. A daily menu is not served but the options a la carte variy from tapas, portions/shared dishes, toasts, bocadillos (sandwiches). The highlight are the homemade croquettes of 11 different types: chistorra (a type of fast-cured sausage from Aragon, the Basque Country and Navarre, Spain), suckling lamb from Aragon, chocolate, etc. Don’t miss the local tapa of the area that is called ‘el guardiacivil’ (Civil Guard).

Very good quality/price value.
