It’situated in the old town of Bagà, accebile from the South of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park (Catalan Pre-pyrenees, Northeastern Spain). From Bagà the road to Coll de Pal begins which is an interesting mountain port with alpine species like Lammergier, White-winged Snowfinch, Alpine Chough, Grey Partridge, Crossbill, Black Woodpecker, etc. The Bastareny River flows nearby, only 2 minutes from the bar and where you can watch Dipper, as well as some other riverine passerines.
Bar Centre has a quiet atmosphere. The furniture is from the 70’s, however the bathrooms have been recently remodelled. They specialise in bocadillos (sandwiches) with the bread known ‘pan de pages’ (enormous traditional local bread) with good meats from the area (butifarra – a type of sausage and one of the most important dishes of the Catalan cuisine; pork loin; sausage; fuet – a Catalan thin, cured, dry sausage of pork meat in a pork gut) They cook a nice and original bocadillo made of an omelette filled with cold meats.
Good quality/price value, around 5€.
They also serve mixed platters or assorted portions.
