South Africa: situated in Underberg, the principal town at the base of the Draknsberg mountains, and an ideal place from which to explore the Sani Pass (18km away) and to enter Lesotho. In nearby Himeville in winter months, there is a huge winter roost of Amur Falcon.
This is a dream house, with exubernat gardensreplete with sugar feeders where you can watch various species of sunbird.
The quality/ price ratio of the rooms is very good, with cosy rooms. Prices are around 25€ per person per night (2011).
You can contract the services of a local birding guide (Stuart: firstname.lastname@example.org) for tracking down special species in the area.
You can safely park inside the area around the house.
Although you can dine here there are also a good number of restaurants in the area.
