Situated at the gates to the Biebrza national Park, the largest in Poland, where saltmarsh (marismas) predominates and you can see a multitude of birds, as well as mammals like Elk and Eurasian Beaver.
There are various houses and bungalows. The house where we stayed (Ptasi Folwark, which means ‘Bird Cabin’ in Polish) is well situated for visiting the main sites of interest within the park. The house has three rooms and if you fill it the price is good.
Miroslaw, the owner, was very kind, attentive, and didn’t hesitate to share useful and interesting information about birds in the area. He is a nature guide and it would be a good idea to hire him for a day’s visit to the park.
