HUERTA GRANDE RECEIVES LONELY BIRDER APPROVED STATUS

We are proud to give Lonely Birder Approved status to the rural accommodation Huerta Grande, with a well-deserved 5 feather rating. No less for an establishment that combines pristine log cabins with casas rurales and is situated right between to exceptional areas of ornithological interest: El Estrecho Natural Park (The Strait of Gibraltar) and Los Alcornocales in Cádiz province, southern Andalusia, where you can witness some of the spectacular bi-annual migration of soaring birds to and from Africa.

The finca itself is specatcular, with exuberant vegetation and a system of short trails that enable interesting bird sightings. There is a resident pair of Tawny Owl in the grounds and they are relatively easy to observe.

The owners are dedicated to supporting ornithological tourism and Huerta Grande has become a reference point for groups of European birders visiting the Strait.

Welcome to Lonely Birder!
